- Seeding date: early spring, late summer before August 15
- Type of bromegrass without rhizomes
- Best management practices not well defined for Matua
Advantages
- good yield potential, very palatable forage
- tolerates heat, and droughty soils
- very good growth in early spring and autumn
Concerns
- does not persist in NYS
- intolerant of poorly-drained soils
